LOUISVILLE, Ky.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 27, 2006--Sypris Solutions, Inc. (Nasdaq/NM: SYPR) announced today the appointment of Robert Callahan as Director of Global Supply Chain. Mr. Callahan will be located at the Company's headquarters in Louisville, Kentucky and will report to Jeffrey T. Gill, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Sypris.

Mr. Callahan joins Sypris from General Electric, where he served most recently as Director of Global Pricing and Industrial Integration for GE's Silicones Division. During his fourteen-year career at GE, Mr. Callahan also served in various operating, quality and engineering roles with its Subabrasives division.

Mr. Callahan, who is 42 years old, is a certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt, and holds Bachelor and Masters degrees in Ceramic Engineering from Alfred University and an MBA from Ohio State University.
